THE BUZZ ABOUT LACE

We’ve got a bee in our bonnet about the errors we have found. However, we don’t want to sting you so please add the following errata to your pattern. These corrections apply to Buzz patterns with a copyright date of 2007.

Bee Scarf I – At Home in the Beehive

Paragraph below diagram and directions for Faggotted Border: The main st pattern is actually a combination of two motifs. 1) The Faggoting, which is similar to but NOT THE SAME as the border, is knitted lace. In the border pattern, the direction of the decrease changes on every row; in this pattern, the direction of the decrease is the same on every row.

The

EVE

These corrections apply to patterns with a copyright date of 2007.

While Eve may be nearly reversible, knitting errors are completely reversible. However, it is easier to do so – or to avoid errors in the first place – if the pattern instructions are correct and clear. To that end, we offer our apologies and the following corrections and clarifications.

Page 2 – Special Abbreviations and Terms

Cluster: Sl 1 st, k4, then pass the slipped st over the 4 sts just knit to cluster them (1 st decreased).

Half and Half Pickup, Row 2: Turn so WS is facing. K the first st, pu and knit an EVEN number of sts, as specified, picking up one st between each st on the LHN, knit last st. Except for the first and last sts, do NOT work the sts picked up on Row 1; rather, strand the working yarn loosely in front of those sts.

Work Top Border #2 and Top Border #1 as for center back panel and then BO on RS in 1x1 ribbing.

PRUDENCE

The corrections apply to patterns with a copyright date of 2006.

Much to our chagrin, it has become apparent that “cut and paste” can be as dangerous as running with scissors. In such light, please accept our apologies – and the following corrections.

Page 3, Key: Delete “L1R” as the name of the sixth symbol and replace with “L1F.”

Page 4 after Section B: Replace the next two sentences with the following:

Next row (WS): K14, k2tog, k (65, 129), k2tog, k14, removing markers between pattern blocks but leaving markers for edge sts, to yield (95, 159) sts.

Work 6 rows of Pattern #3 – Transition Band.

Next row (RS): K31, pm, *(k33, pm, k31, pm)* (1, 2) times**.

symbol, which does not appear in the Key, represents k2tog on WS.
